The Backstreet Boys Ring In The New Year On The West Coast
It seems like the theme for the last half of 2016 was for the Backstreet Boys to pop up in the places when you were least expecting it. The last weekend of 2016 was no exception.
Nick, Brian, Kevin, AJ, and Howie hit the stage first as surprise guests at The Chainsmokers at Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday night, as what was their largest show yet. Brian and AJ both teased the performance via Instagram beforehand, much to the excitement of fans all over the world. The Chainsmokers, one of the most popular acts to hit the airwaves recently, were excited to have them as well, tweeting afterward, "A massive thanks to the Backstreet Boys for smashing it so hard! [Y’all] stole the show!" If you haven’t yet caught the performance online, you can check it out here.
Following their crowd-pleasing appearance in LA, the Boys jetted off to Las Vegas, where they rung in the new year at Caesars Palace for a group of elite reward members, along with Calvin Harris DJing. We can’t think of anything more appropriate considering the Backstreet Boys will be spending the better half of their year in Las Vegas, with their residency kicking off in just less than two months! If you still haven’t purchased your tickets to see the fab five live at Planet Hollywood, hurry and get yours. Fun fact – the first 48 hours of presale for the shows garnered $1 million dollars in sales. You. Can’t. Miss. It.
If you think the Backstreet Boys were in Vegas for all work and no play, you were wrong. After their performance, Nick, Kevin, and Howie hit OMNIA, one of the hottest nightclubs on the strip, joining Harris in the DJ booth to kick off 2017 in the best way. The Boys were also spotted at other hot spots this weekend – Nick and Howie at Nobu, Brian, and his family at Gordon Ramsey’s Pub and Grill, and AJ and Howie with their wives at Mr. Chow.
If this weekend was any indication of the way 2017 is going to go for the Backstreet Boys, we’re so excited to see what’s in store for the group and to be here for every bit of it! We’re only just beginning.
Here’s to the New Year!
