Backstreet’s Boy On Broadway
You’ve seen him open for the Backstreet Boys during part of the In A World Like This tour and now you can see him on Broadway.
Baylee Littrell, the 13-year-old son of Brian Littrell, is making his Broadway debut in Disaster!, a ‘70s-themed musical that opens next month. The show, which New York Daily News called one of the must-see musicals in 2013, is a parody of ‘70s disaster films. It all revolves around the grand opening of a floating casino where multiple “disasters” roll into one hilarious plot with a cast of characters that are sure to please. If that’s not enough, Disaster! also features hits from the 1970s, including “Knock On Wood”, “Hot Stuff, and “Hooked On A Feeling” – what a soundtrack!
Baylee has landed the role of not one, but TWO characters, as he will be playing twins, Ben and Lisa. Tell us that’s not talent! The twins are the children of Jackie, the lounge singer, played by Rachel York, an incredibly talented Broadway vet. The youngest Littrell is certainly in good company as the entire cast of Disaster! is made up of actors with impressive resumes and some you may recongnize – check them out here.
The musical will officially open on March 8th, but previews begin February 9th. If you’re going to be in the NYC area, you don’t want to miss it! All ticketing information can be seen here. The show only runs through July 3rd so plan your night out soon!
