I hope there is an option to pay in installments that would be great!!
I was thinking about putting it all on a credit card if not. I do really want to go and I hope that they will give us some notice of when we will be able to buy tickets. If I had the chance to meet the BSB after being a fan for 14 years it would be my dreams come true !!
Thank you to drummer4eva2007 and to Lilly Carter for their voices of reason.
Sometimes, I am so amazed by some of the comments here, it just blows my mind. It's not just the cruise, either. It seems that no matter WHAT these 4 guys try to do, they can't win. Someone is always whining about something. "It''s not fair..", "it's too expensive...", "it's too far..", yada, yada, yada! They are only 4 men, trying to do their best to put out some opportunities for fans to share with them. Obviously, it's not going to work for a lot of people, but for many others, it will. The guys can't be everywhere! It's obvious to me that they DO want to try and give us the best fan experiences and opportunities that they can, but instead of appreciating that effort, people complain. I know that I get bummed out too when things happen elsewhere that I can't get to, but I know their hearts are in the right place, and I applaud their efforts.
Now, I understand the frustration about the Pinktober thing, however, and I do agree that that should have its make up date scheduled too, but that doesn't have to be "instead" of this cruise. Maybe, when the US tour dates are announced, (soon, guys! - please?) and they're back in the NY area again, they will reschedule it for then?
As for the cruise, I know it will be expensive. BUT, it is still 10 MONTHS away, so , if you really want to go, then begin by putting a saving plan into action. You don't have to pay for it all at once. It's broken down into at least 3 installments, maybe more if you talk to the tour operator about it.
i hope all that are going have a ka time. take lots of pix :p. have fun.
We know that it will be for 4 days, but more details!!! Come on guys! It's funny to come everyday and see these words!!! But i just want to say that we are FANS, and I am choqued when i saw that some FANs critized the guys and what they do for us... We love you
Thanks drumer4eva2007 for trying to get some sense in certain girls. I just can't understand why people get mad at this kinda announcement. If you can go, great for you, hope you have a blast, and if you can't (like most of us) well too bad, but that is the way things are. No matter which the big announcement was going to be, there is no way it could please everybody, so be a grown up, stop whining and realize that there will always be events that for some reason you can't attend to.
I've been checking daily for the new messages, personally, I think they're kind of fun...but while checking the site daily I have also been reading fan posts...
I must say as a 12 year Backstreet fan, all the talk about how they don't appreciate their fans because its a cruise has upset me. The guys have done SO much and continue to do so much for us whether it be touring internationally so everyone can get a chance to see them perform or all the charities they help out with. The fact that they're even still around is a gift for us all, I know Nick has said it a countless amount of times that "as long as we have fans, we'll be around." I don't see this as a way for them to push aside the rich from the poor or not understand that some people have jobs such as teaching or parenthood where they can't leave for 4 days. I see it as a chance, just like the VIP tickets, for fans to pay a certain amount to get an opportunity to meet them.
They're only 4 guys and can only do so much. I give them credit for trying to put this thing together. For those of you who feel like you need a 5 year notice to save up, start saving now because I'm sure that they will offer this kind of opportunity again to allow more fans to come. The guys care about their fans so much and would never do something like this to upset/hurt you. Please remember that and keep the Backstreet pride alive! =)

The Backstreet Boys aren't psychics: they don't know what the future might bring when planning ahead to perform or have a meet and greet. In this case, Brian was very ill with the H1N1 virus and had to cancel. This could not be helped. Period.
Secondly...I see where you're going with the Pinktober/cruise situation. Instead if planning a knowingly expensive trip to God knows where, another Pinktober performance slot should have been scheduled for them. Not everyone can afford to go on a big boat trip, and in my opinion a charity performance is much better than a cruise.
Don't care where... when... or how much... IM GOING
