The Backstreet Boys Blow The Rooftop Off The VMAs

20 years ago, the Backstreet Boys performed on the VMA stage and received their first Video Music Award.

Monday night, Kevin, Howie, Brian, AJ, and Nick celebrated their 25 years together as a group by returning to the MTV award show.

Not only did the Boys sing the nominees for ‘Song Of The Year’ (Congrats, Post Malone), but they provided the perfect segue from the VMA preshow to the main event with their on-point performance of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” on the rooftop of Radio City Music Hall. Not only were onlookers on the New York street thrilled to see the legendary boyband, but those watching from home as well.

“BACKSTREET BOYS SERVING US CHOREO!!! HELLO!” Paper Magazine tweeted as the Boys quickly became a trending topic across the U.S. and posts came rolling in about the “icons”, their classic harmony and their smooth moves. If you missed the performance, watch below.

Before heading to Radio City Music Hall though, the Backstreet Boys stopped by MTV studios to judge an impromptu karaoke session for one lucky person to win tickets to the VMAs last night. But it’s not TRULY a good time with the quintet unless you end up singing along with them, right? Catch all the goodness here.

Where can you see the Backstreet Boys next? Vegas, of course, when they start back in October!

...Or will you see them before then? Keep your eyes peeled because you never know what the Boys will be doing next!
