Funny, I recently wrote a blog post about this. My love for the Boys started out because my older brother bought me the cassette of their first US album. At the time, I was a teenager, so of course, I went through the whole "I'm going to marry them" phase. But as I got older, and the Boys demonstrated their staying power, I realized that my love for this band went beyond just infatuation with the way that they looked. Anyone who's listened to any music they've made for any length of time will tell you that though the Boys have, over the years, been marketed to be a number of different things, the thing they are at the heart of it all is what they have been from the start: a vocal harmony group. Nothing can take that away from them, and that talent along with the fact that they care so much about what they do, about each other, and about their fans just solidifies the fact that they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
And I'm just fine with that. :)
"They will always be our Boys."
Yes, forever and ever!!!!

This is without a doubt the best blog entry I've read during the whole time I's a member of the BSB FC. Sometimes it's so hard to put into words how we fell about not only the band but about our boys, because no matter what they'll always be our boys, won't they? And in the end it doesn't matter if people get or don't understand how we feel, because that won't change anything. I'm grateful because they were there when I was a teenager, when I lost my grandmother and my aunt, when I passed the bar and became a lawyer, when I needed friends and they gave me plenty. I'm thankful for the memories and the feelings, the smiles and the tears they brought me during these last 22 years and I can't wait for what's next. Thank you Andrea Bove, for such an amazing post. xoxo
Loved reading this. When I first listened to BSB I was 7 1/2, I saw the video for backstreet's back. After that I became a fan just like that along with Nick becoming my first crush. Being glued to the TV when seeing them on it. Knowing that my brothers would always say something that would upset me but now when I think about it, that doesn't upset me anymore cause they don't anymore. I did stop listening the guys thanks to when I found the pop punk band Good Charlotte but I can say when I'd see BSB on the TV I'd stop to watch them. In 2012 I thought of them and right away started all over again loving them.. I finally got to see the guys in 2014 *yes I know that I was way behind*. It was the greatest day ever!! I really want it to see the guys on the next tour along with hoping to meet them. *I'm 25 and still loving them* :)
Everything written in this article is true from top to bottom. BSB for life :) #KTBSPA
Couldn't have said it any better. When I first started listening to BSB in 1997 I was 17. My love was childish one, a fantasy, with bubble gum pop music to go along with it. It was all just fun.
Now, at 35, it's so much more. They take me back to good times and erase the bad. They have been with me through so much. And you're right: they make you feel special and loved when you meet them. And people who didn't grow up with them just don't understand.
