I always knew I would have the Backstreet Boys, believe it or not I have been listening to this amazing group since I turned 3 on April 20th when they first got together. My mom would listen so of course I would too. I have been a fan ever since. I am thankful for this amazing group that has inspired me to continue with any of my goals. They have proven over and over again that they are supportive of each other and their music, showing that if I stick to it I can achieve many great things. I also try to instill this concept with my high school students in hopes that it motivates them to graduate and make something of themselves. I am finishing my certification/masters after eight years of school to be a middle/high school teacher, and hope to inspire others the way the BSB boys have inspired me. Thank you for always being there and being an inspiration to so many people. Love you guys!!!
One of the things that has been constant in my life since I was entering the teenage world was the Backstreet Boys. I discovered them late one night while watching Muchmusic and became intrigued. Who knew that they would still be a part of my life many moons later. I'm thankful for their music and how they continously show us that no matter what, we can overcome whatever obstacle comes our way. I'm thankful for the many friends they've brought me throughout the years and the memories we've made along the way. I'm thankful that they haven't given up and they're back and better then ever!
I am thankful for Bsb because....
1. They got me through some hard times as a teen and still do well into my 30’s. Their music is my therapy, happy/safe place.
2. Their music is the reason I’ve known my best friend for 20 + years and continue to make new friends. Through their music they also brought my little sisters and I closer together. They became die hard bsb’ers like me because I listened to them all time!
3. They do so much for different charities and communities. We need more good more good in this world and that’s what they bring.
4. They’re the staple for the next generation of boy bands and fans of boy bands.
Growing up, I thought it was normal for people to tell you that you are ugly, fat, etc. – just mainly calling out any ‘flaws’ that you have out loud. I didn’t even know what bullying was when I was younger. That being said, I was thankful for BSB’s music when I was growing up. I remember trying to record their songs when they play on the radio since I couldn’t afford to buy their CDs. Sometimes I would listen to them all day and I’m happy. When the bullying gets to me, I turn to their music. Fast forward to my adult years, life got busy and I thought I grew out of that boy band era. But when I heard their new single ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heat’ -- it rekindled my love for them. I didn’t even know it was BSB the first time I heard it over the radio. I was so ecstatic when I found out that they are still going strong after 25 years in the business. I have my own little family now and busy with life, still, BSB never fails to make me smile when I am feeling down – whether at work or at home. My 3-year old loves them too and he sings along with me when I play their songs. And I hope that we can both meet the Boys face to face someday.
And also, this morning, I got a really sad and shocking news about a former co-worker’s passing. I’ve known her since 2008 (when I moved to Canada) and she’s always been there for me. She is the most caring and selfless woman that I’ve met other than my mom. There was a time in my life that I had to run away from people that I thought that cared for me. I was so lost and scared and she didn’t hesitate to invite me to her place.. comforted me, prayed with me and advised me on what to do. It was just a roller coaster of emotions -- waking up to that sad news and BSB’s release of ‘Chances’ and announcing their tour dates. It was a crazy feeling I tell you – happy, excited and sad at the same time. But I remembered that BSB’s songs helped me through even the darkest of times, so I listened to them on my way to work and it made me feel way better. They keep inspiring me and nothing will ever change that! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the Backstreet Boys and I wish each of them -- good health -- so they can keep creating beautiful music together and provide inspiration to a lot of us. Hoping to see and meet them on one of their Canadian city shows next year! Love you! And sorry for the long post!
I've been a fan from the beginning. My sister played me your first album and I borrowed hers and wouldn't give it back until I had my own copy.LOL Anyways, from there I bought every album I could get my hands on, including the stuff not released in the US. From there I've made long time friends online, flown to Vegas to see them on the Black and Blue tour. I've seen the guys 13 times in concert, with hopefully more shows to come. #KTBSBPA
I am thankful for BSB because they have been a key part of my life for almost all of my life. I have so many memories of the Backstreet Boys. Some in person, and others just as a little girl in my room singing along to my favourite songs, collecting posters and obsessing over my favourite 5 guys. When I think back to my childhood and teenage years, I think of the Backstreet Boys and how they helped get me through so many times both good and bad. I am thankful that they have always been there to keep me happy when I need it the most.
I am thankful for bsb because I have been a fan since way back in ‘95 when I was just 11 yrs old. Their music has been a constant in my life when everything has gone upside down and sideways through parents divorce, university, mothers death, marriage, bringing friends back together and now my fathers death. It always gives me comfort and joy.
Growing up in a small town in Brazil my cousin and I were both teenagers when we heard BSB for the first time. I remember when her father gifted her the Backstreet Boys CD as her birthday and Christmas present. We literally cried and from that moment on we spent every little money we had buying all the CD's, posters and magazines we could. We sold homemade baked goods to be able to afford to. We couldn't attend to any concerts then, but since we both moved to the U.S. we have been to a couple but never had a chance to meet the boys.
I am forever thankfull to the Backstreet Boys for being such a big part of my teeanagers years.
Thank you for giving us a meaning to our lives. Never stop! Can't wait for the new tour! We love you!
I am thankful for BSB because they sing music that I can listen to with anyone, at any time. I respect the fact that they know how to sing, and take their job seriously. They respect their fans. They respect each other. It doesn't matter who you are, everyone has a Backstreet Boys jam. I'm 34 now, but have listened to them since 1996 and have never, ever stopped. <3 BSB!
I discovered them as a child, in 1995.
I do not know what attracted me to them, but I could not get rid of them.
In 2014 they came to Italy, in Lucca, unfortunately I could not go. I suffered a lot, and since then I have hoped for their tour. I've never seen them, I hope to meet them one day sooner or later.
They made me dream, grow and hope.
Thank you.
