The Backstreet Boys came into my family's life back in 2001. I lost both my Grandfather & Father-in-law on the same day in March of 2001. I turned to BSB music to help me cope with the loss of my loved ones. My daughter's were 6 & 9 years old and very close to both since we lived with my father-in-law and took care of him until the end of his life. I joined the BSB Fanclub in 2001 and met 2 of my closest friends Sheena from Indiana & Libby from North Carolina to this day we are still great friends and go to shows together!(We are meeting in Pittsburgh 2019) I am in Ohio .As I was trying to deal with my loss my friend Libby was going thru a divorce! I am thankful for BSB giving me my Best friends!!! Thank you & God Bless you all! Terri
Without exaggeration, I wouldn’t be the person I am now, wouldn’t be surrounded by the people I am and, most importantly, I wouldn’t have influenced so many lives myself if it wasn’t for Backstreet Boys!
I was born in a very small town in Ukraine and my teenage years were spent with no Internet or a computer. Hearing Backstreet Boys’ songs on TV I was obsessed with them and used to record them on video or audio cassettes. Needless to say, magazine cutouts and posters made the best wallpaper in my room and I belonged to as many fan clubs as possible, exchanging letters with other fans.
However, the most profound effect Backstreet Boys have made on me was the decision to learn English in order to understand their songs and write fan letters to them repeatedly (especially Nick, my teenage crush!), which, of course, never reached them and to my disappointment always came back.
In a nutshell, later on, asked by my parents what I wanted to do with my life after school, without a shadow of a doubt, I replied that I wanted to learn English. So, I moved to a bigger city, became an English teacher and helped to set up a language school. Having worked in this field for almost 12 years now, I have hundreds of happy and satisfied students, some of which even work or study in the USA!
Teaching others became my life mission and I'm absolutely loving it! All my closest friends and my fiancé came into my life through the school and due to my knowledge of English. And I can’t even imagine what I would be doing now if Backstreet Boys hadn’t inspired me as a teen!
So, grateful to you for inspiration, Boys, and giving me the start of an amazing life I’m living now with all the amazing people in it!

I am thankful for the Backstreet Boys because they help to bring my family and I some happiness and "normalcy" and they help take me back to a time when life was more "normal". I am caregiver to my permanently disabled, quadriplegic husband and I am the main one raising our 3 boys these past 19 years and back then, on the 2nd August, 1999, my husband was in a near-fatal motorcycle crash and at that time, our boys were; 4 years old, 2 years old and our newborn was 3 months old and I had to take on looking after my husband 24/7, plus our 2 toddler's and newborn. The driver that cut off my husband on the freeway, fled the scene and was never caught. Our boys are older now but I am still caregiver and our lives are not the same anymore since the crash. I was told that my husband would be just like Christopher Reeve the rest of his life and would never walk again. (he is walking but has one leg shorter than the other now and can't get by one day without his medicines. Kevin had 6 operations to survive and died twice on the operating table and his crash was so traumatic, not just for him, but for me a lot, and it has also affected our 3 boys really. It's been a massive struggle all these years but we are still here and life goes on, but the Backstreet Boys do help to bring us some happiness and some "normalcy" in their music. p.s. I have managed to buy 2 tickets to see the Backstreet Boys for August 3rd, 2019 but we can't afford to meet them though. I really deeply wish we could meet them, (my youngest son, Saburo and I), but we will be there in the audience to support them. I think if we could meet them then that would be so special for us but they are much too costly for a meet and greet. I have always been a big fan of theirs since they first started and I always will be a huge fan, even though I am one of their older fans.

The confidence, lifelong friendships, determination! As a 12 year old kid I used to record all the videos and interviews to later sit in front of the TV with a dictionary, trying to understand what they were singing/talking about. Because of that I was able to learn English well enough to communicate with a friend who has become the love of my life, and husband :) And this is why am I thankful for BSB...I wouldn't be where I am in life if not them!!!
I am thankful to the guys because they are amazing examples of what men can be. They have risen from the ashes of addictions, family loss, adversities, the music business and their ability to control, and so much more. In a world that can you can easily be lost in, they have known who they are, and have fought through and have come out on the other side of it all, renewed. So proud of you guys.

Growing up, my family didn't have a lot of money. I learned at a young age that I would need to pay my own way. When I was about 10 years old, I started earning money by cleaning my neighbours house. Every time I was there, she would let me listen to whatever I wanted on her beautiful CD Player.... so of course, I would BLAST Backstreet Boys for the entire day. I became a huge fan, even before BSB became majorly popular in North America. As a teenager, I desperately wanted to attend one of their concerts but couldn't afford to spend the money since I was saving for my university tuition. Fast forward to my 34th birthday - my husband bought me VIP BSB Tickets for the Las Vegas show. It was absolutely one of the best nights of my life. Though I didn't get to meet them personally, I DID get a handshake from AJ as he walked past me. My husband captured it on camera and it makes me smile every time. At the end of the day, BSB was in the background as I worked hard to pay my way and I was able to get to a point in my life where I can now afford to attend their concerts!
I'm so thankful for BSB because they were part of my adolescence and now they are part of my adult life. I shared my adolescence with 4 cousins and I remember when we used to listen to Backstreet's song. Unfortunately, one of these girls has passed away, she was only 14, but I still remember her listening to her favourite song: As Long As You Love Me. Time has passed, I'm 34 now, but I never forget how happy those times were. I really hope that one day, I will be at a Backstreet's concert!
I have been a BSB Fan since my teen years...over 25 years already, I lived in Cuba and for me to dream with even be in a concert it was like to dream to be millionaire. I used to have even the roof of my bedroom covered with posters , printed pictures, and get to have a recorded concert on a VHS cassette was huh.....I used to have lots and lots of frieds by hadwritten letters all over the world, and many of em sent me pictures and cds and magazines that i jstill treasure, Even the letter of the frieds that came to stay in my life. My oldest son has 15 years old and his name is KEVIN...(why==, Obviously.... Because of Kevin Richardson). Howie and Kevin were in Cuba once for a flash stay...and I spent almost all night outside the hotel were they were staying and I just got to see Kevin in a flash when the buss crossed in front of we I was to get into the parking lot of the hotel. I was so happy.....but I still have that dream to see them....live....near...I have to do that before to grow old... Also I left my country of origin Cuba at 34 and lived one year in Israel...at that time they were there for 3 shows in TelAviv, and my dream flew far away again...I just have had my youngest daugher...so imposible to go at that time....I have been in US for almost 4 years and I never thought that will come the day that THAT TEENAGE DREAM will be able to be fullfilled. And YES!!! 2019 will be my year!!!....I will go to see them live in the last show of VEgas Residency and I have my VIP M&G tickets...so OMG I still cant believe it. I will be going with my oldest son...he knows mommy's story!....and if it wasnt enough I am gonna go to the show in Omaha, NE of the DNA World Tour on Sept 2019. It can be anything better that this??!!. NOT FOR ME!!......My kids and the BSB are the best thing of my life....The loves of my life!!...THANK YOU BACSKTREET BOYS FOR EXIST!!. LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!!. KTBSPA!!! 4EVER!!
BSB has a very special place in my heart. I'm from Israel, and their 2014 visit got cancelled last minute when rockets started up again. I was so happy when I saw that the Backstreet Boys don't give in to BDS pressures or otherwise and arrived May 2015 for an incredible, uplifting concert! And more than that, 'In a World Like This' has the songs 'Soldier', which I though was written perfectly for both actual soldiers and strong human beings, which everyone is, and 'Feels Like Home', which I can really relate to since I've lived in California when I was a kid and moved to England three years ago to study, but anywhere I've lived is my home <3
P.S. I'm also thankful for BSB because they make really really comfy concert tshirts!
