My childhood wasn't the easiest. Way more than I care to explain to the public. But the Backstreet Boys music and seeing how they care for their fans made me keep trucking along. Whatever mood I was in their music helped me through the day and still does! I have been a fan since I was 10 (I'm 33 now) My husband graciously tolerates my love for the Boys and understands the comfort the lyrics and melodies bring. So thank you guys and you will always have a fan :)
For as long as I can remember, BSB was my favourite band. I listened to them day in and day out, and from a young age I knew I wanted to make music that made other people feel the way I did when I listened to BSB.
Almost 2 decades later I still feel as happy and as drawn to their music as I did when I was a kid.
They will always be one of the most inspirational and timeless bands and I can’t wait for more music!
I have been a Backstreed Boys fan since I was 9 years old. I am now 33 years old so your music has been there for me through good times and bad times. Your first album was the first English music I had listened to coming from a Russian family and I fell in love with your music! I have been to several concerts and can’t wait for you all to come to Ft. Lauderdale! Hoping to purchase a VIP package this time around and finally meet you all. Some of my fave childhood memories are at your concerts with my family and friends. My mom used to have all our family adults line up for wrist bands at different places to see who could get their hands on better tickets for my brother and I! I followed my passion to work with pediatrics at a children’s hospital and when I graduated the best gift was my hubby taking me to a Backstreet Boys concert to celebrate. When my daughter was born extremely premature at 25 weeks and weighing only 1 lb your music got me through.
Listening to “never gone” makes me feel closer to my grandmother who passed away from breast cancer and reminds me of all the memories we shared together. Even my younger brother who was stuck listening to you when he was little cause I his older sister made him :) chose “the perfect fan” for his dance with our mom at his wedding last year!
I feel like I grew into the person I am today listening to your music throughout my life and I can’t imagine it any other way!!!
Thank you!!!
Hi, my name is Kristina. I am 33 years old and have been a fan for about 21years. Growing up with BSB in so many stages of my life has made me thankful in so many ways. I spent my innocence with them when they taught me about love, and my later years when they taught me about breakups, pain, loss and faith. My father died 8 years ago from cancer and BSB was something we shared together. Everytime I hear an old school bsb song it reminds me of my father and him laughing at me acting out the songs. I am so thankful for these memories. Last year my mother got cancer as well and having to be the rock of the family I often times locked myself up alone and tried to find happiness in music, so I listened to BSB and it brought me happy memories of my childhood and my father. I should particularly thank Brian, because if it wasnt for my his religious faith I maybe would have lost myself. I began praying everyday and everyday we got a little better news for my mom. She is now in remission for the last 6 months and I continue to pray for her everyday for her to stay healthy. I'm thankful for BSB in so many ways, but I never would have thought they could indirectly help my mother be a cancer survivor through my prayer and faith. Thank you.
I am forever thankful for the Backstreet Boys (and my wonderful mother who first introduced me to their music!) because they are the spark that got me first truly interested in my passion for music. And without that, I honestly have no idea where I would be now. I've tried to imagine myself in different career paths and hobbies and none have struck a chord in me as much as music.
As a child, I remember seeing Kevin playing the piano and how he was mostly self-taught. After much persuasion, my family surprised me one year with a fairly basic keyboard to start plunking for inspiration, long before I could even read music itself! Through much initial frustration, practice, and dedication, I was able to stick with it as well as pick up on the violin and a bit of singing. As I grew older and experienced more music through the Backstreet Boys, I was absolutely certain that music was my true calling. I now enjoy creating my own music as a means of expression!
There are, of course, many other music artists that I enjoy listening to, but there are none as special and close to my heart as the Backstreet Boys because of how it bonds me closer to my mom who also adores their music, and how it gave me a purpose in life in a world where I have some of the most genuine and talented muses to look up to!
I am thankful for BSB, because i listen to the music since i was 4 years old...
My first concert was in Berlin Wuhlheide 1996 as a 5 years old little fangirl. In the first row i fall in love with the Boys.
Now i am 27 years old, visit much more concerts of my boys and still a true BSB Soldier.
I am thankful for the backstreet boy’s music what date did in the past 25 years ! They help me so much to go through good times and bad times in life ! I love dancing with My friends in my apartment loudly to their music this is just amazing ! So I’m thankful for all the good times I had and still have
I am 35, have been a fan for over 20 years now! I am from Brazil and have to thank the BSB for learning a new language and meeting my husband... As a teenager I wanted to understand the lyrics to all BSB songs and decided to learn English, after years of studying I decided to apply for an internship in the US, that's how I met my husband 13 years ago.... I have to thank the BSB for giving me that initial push and for being there during good and bad times!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the Orlando concert!
I have been a Backstreet Boys fan since I was 10 years old. The self titled cd was indeed the first cd I ever owned. I used to hang my kareoke machine microphones from my ceiling fan and sing and pretend that I was Nick recording a song. My best friend and I would do recordings and sing our hearts out.
I had always ALWAYS wanted to go to a concert but my mom wouldn’t allow it. I finally scored my first tickets when I was 19. As luck would have it, my grandfather passed away so I had to be with family during that time. The second time I got tickets, I had graduated college and at my interview for my first CAREER job, they said “ok so you start on Wednesday...” WHAT!? Nooooo I have a concert, man! My heart was broken.
So fast forward to almost 10-12 years later ( I am now 30) my dream finally came true. All of their songs hit me so hard and I continued to keep up with all the new cd releases and learning all the harmonies to the songs.
Well, last year I got into a car accident and shattered my leg. I actually came out of my surgery saying” I think I can see the Backstreet Boys in Vegas now” haha. The car accident wasn’t my fault and I knew I would be looking at some sort of a payout. After a grueling year of physical therapy, learning how to walk, and two surgeries along with self esteem issues, I am happy to say I can walk and my perseverance was all dedicated to the fact that I wanted to get to Vegas and I knew I had to get through all the hard stuff to make that happen.
Once I met them, literally like 3 weeks ago, I felt like that was my time. The reason all the other times didn’t work out is because THAT was how I was meant to meet them. I’m so grateful for your music and helping me get through my dark and giving me light at the end of the tunnel. It means more than anything to me and when I think about my journey, it moves me to tears. I thank all the guys for being so genuine and understanding how emotional I was. A little girls dream was made at 30 years old and I can honestly tell you that it was the best concert and top moment of my life. I will never forget it and will be right there again for the World Tour when they come to Milwaukee, WI.
Your dearest fan,
Ashli V.
