I am extremely thankful for BSB because not only did I grow up listening to them constantly but I've continued to do so through my life. A few years ago I tried taking my own life and thankfully failed. Throughout the healing process all i could do is listen to BSB and that made me feel safe and like I'm worth more than i felt. Every song I listened to just made me look at life differently and since then I still continue to jam out to BSB because they helped me realize my life is important through their music. I saw BSB when I was about 7/8 years old in concert and plan on seeing them again in September 2019 in dallas!! Couldnt be more excited! I'll never be more thankful than I am when listening to BSB.
I am so thankful for the Backstreet Boys because I use their music as stress relief on crazy days. I actually even got my current job by answering the question "How can we tell when you are stressed out or overwhelmed?" with "Well, I put some Backstreet Boys on and get things done!" I was later informed this got me the job because they appreciated how honest and real I was with them. I have been a fan for pretty much my entire life (I am 27 now) and still consider the Backstreet Boys to be my favorite band. From age 7 with Teen Bop BSB posters all over my room, through heart breaks in my teenage years, to now loving the music in my late 20s and actually understanding the lyrics better now. I am a forever BSB fan!
I would love to nominate my husband, SFC Lugo, for the November solider of the month contest. He is currently deployed and encouraged me to go see the Backstreet Boys in Vegas with girl friends (Army wives as well) while he was deployed. He is the most selfless person I have ever met and tolerates all of my antics (including my BSB obsession) like a champ. He is the greatest thing to ever happen to me and I am so thankful for him every day. He even let me throw a couple of Backstreet Boys songs into our wedding playlist :) Thank you for considering my husband for Soldier of the Month. He is my hero and I am so thankful for him everyday <3
I am thankful for the BSB because they made my childhood/teenage/adulthood happy.
I enjoy listening to their music and I introduced their songs to my daughter at 3 years old and she is now 7. She loves them as much as I do. I would love to be the winner so I can share the experience with her.
I have been a Backstreet Boys fan since middle school! I remember getting those teen magazines and collecting every single thing BSB related. Through the years I have still remained a fan!
I'm thankful for the Backstreet Boys because throughout my 27 years of living they have always been a constant. I went through a bad breakup a little over a year ago and after years of being in a dead-end relationship it finally ended. Valentine's Day 2018, my first SINGLE Valentine's Day in five years, I was in Vegas to see the Backstreet Boys with my best friend. What are the chances (pun intended) that Nick Carter comes right up to me during All I Have To Give, holds my hand, caresses my face, and sings directly to me--the song that has been my favorite since the beginning and the song that has had me hold onto the thought that good men do exist in the world. Thank you for making me realize in that moment that I was worth more than what I was previously treated as and thank you for making my childhood and still adulthood dreams come true.
The Backstreet Boys were my very first concert when I was around 8 years old. I am now 26 with two daughters, ages four and almost six. My oldest has requested to have a Backstreet Boys birthday theme this year. It’s SO special to me that we share love for the same kind of music. From the time I can remember I have been a fan because I felt like their music really got me through some good and bad times in my life. Now I get to share that with my daughter, who will be attending her very first concert to see BSB when they tour at KFC yum center! :) We already had a special bond, but loving the same group that her mama has for many years makes me incredibly happy!
I am so very thankful for the Backstreet Boys. For the past 8 years I've not been myself. I've had an extremely difficult time trusting people and just haven't made many solid friendships that have lasted the test of time and distance. In the spring of 2017 I heard about the 2018 BSB Cruise and finally decided to just go solo in the roommate match program. I had always wanted to go and was frustrated with trying to find someone I knew to come with me. I bought my cabin. Then the anxiety set in. I needed to know someone else on the ship. I started posting in BSB Facebook groups looking for other people going solo. I found a girl Lauren who I messaged and started a conversation with. We hit it off immediately. Long story short, I ended up being introduced to another two solo travelers and the four of us got along GREAT. Three out of four of us decided to finally meet in Vegas for a BSB show in February and then all four of us were finally together for the cruise. We got along SO well and I FINALLY was able to feel comfortable letting down my walls and letting these amazing girls in.
Since then we've gone on many BSB adventures together and have been planning all day for the DNA World Tour. Even though we live apart these girls have become my rocks and absolute best friends. We talk every day and will always be in each others lives. Having these girls to support me has truly been the reason I am FINALLY out of my funk and am able to be truly happy again. I'll always be forever grateful to the Backstreet Boys for introducing me to these girls who saved my life.
When I was 18 back in 1998, I was enormously thankful for BSB when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Why? As my dentist had pliers shoved in my mouth and one knee in my chest, tugging at impacted teeth, I was cranking BSB as loud as my Walkman allowed. And I survived that traumatic experience. For the next 20 years (wow), their music would get me through many dramas: losing friends, losing loved ones, even losing the love of my life (Never Gone got me through that one). Whatever was happening, BSB provided the soundtrack. And in everyday life? Every time I'm down and "As Long As You Love Me" comes on the radio, or the clock hits 8:58, I smile a little to myself and feel like it's happening just for me. For any road trip, my personal medley of BSB's all-time greatest tunes is still the obligatory soundtrack. Even my husband knows that- which brings me to my final reason: BSB has and will always be the background music for my happiest moments: it helped me celebrate when I got back the love of my life! Long story short, I am eternally grateful to BSB for supplying me with the tunes that cheer me up when I'm down and allow me to express my joy in any circumstance. Thanks, Boys!
I always knew I would have the Backstreet Boys, believe it or not I have been listening to this amazing group since I turned 3 on April 20th when they first got together. My mom would listen so of course I would too. I have been a fan ever since. I am thankful for this amazing group that has inspired me to continue with any of my goals. They have proven over and over again that they are supportive of each other and their music, showing that if I stick to it I can achieve many great things. I also try to instill this concept with my high school students in hopes that it motivates them to graduate and make something of themselves. I am finishing my certification/masters after eight years of school to be a middle/high school teacher, and hope to inspire others the way the BSB boys have inspired me. Thank you for always being there and being an inspiration to so many people. Love you guys!!!
One of the things that has been constant in my life since I was entering the teenage world was the Backstreet Boys. I discovered them late one night while watching Muchmusic and became intrigued. Who knew that they would still be a part of my life many moons later. I'm thankful for their music and how they continously show us that no matter what, we can overcome whatever obstacle comes our way. I'm thankful for the many friends they've brought me throughout the years and the memories we've made along the way. I'm thankful that they haven't given up and they're back and better then ever!
