  1. Before all of the craziness of 2017, there was a simpler time, a time where the highlight of my day was listening to the radio and hitting 'record' on my blank cassette tape whenever I heard a song I really liked. I recall hearing "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" on the radio, and I had no idea who sang it, but I loved the sound of their voices. I recorded the same song about three more times in a row when I finally heard a radio host say it was the Backstreet Boys. From that point on, I realized I had to do more research on who these boys were! So when I went to the grocery store with my parents, I would head straight to the magazine section and collect a stack of J-14, Seventeen, and all of those other magazines to just find out more about the group, and I was in love.

Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of when life was simpler, and that the simple things in life, such as BSB's music, can bring a smile to our faces.

  2. My first memory of BSB was when I was 10 years old, my best friend at the time introduced me to them and I loved everything about them! Throughout my teenage years, my walls were plastered with their posters and their music was always blasting.

  3. My first memory was when I was in grade 9. I was browsing YouTube one day listening to "The Right Stuff" by NKOTB when I noticed the Backstreet Boys video for "Everybody". I had heard the song a few times before but became instantly obsessed after I saw the video. I soon branched to the other popular songs like "As Long As You Love Me" and "We Got It Going On" ect. My playlist at the time consisted of only 5 songs that I would play at nausea whether I was at school, in the car, or in the shower. My parents hated me for it but I didn't care. I would blast it whenever I could. All of my friends had no clue what I was listening to. They'd be, listening to the new Sia song or the new Sam Smith song where i'd be listening to BSB jamming my little heart out. I would listen to all their albums on repeat and have increasingly grown my BSB playlist. Every since then my love for BSB has grown immensely. Unfortunately I've never gone to a BSB concert even though it is my absolute dream to go to one and meet the boys in person. Praying that one day the boys will come to Toronto or Montreal on a world tour.

  4. My first memory was back in my primary school (11 yrs old) when i had to do a performance with my group of girls and guys. The girls pretended to be spice girls and the guys were the Backstreet Boys! We performed both the Spice Girls's & BSB's song! That was when I started to listen & love BSB's songs... Not forgetting I was already having crushes on Brian! But that wasn't the sweetest memory...

The sweetest memory was when I could attend my FIRST EVER concert (In A World Like This Tour) in 2015! I've waited so long for this moment as it was only then I could pay off the concert tickets by myself! Trust me, being brought up by my mum who's education driven, attending Backstreet Boys concert back then when I was still schooling was like DIGGING MY OWN GRAVE!

So that's my bittersweet memory of my childhood sweethearts....the Backstreet Boys....

  5. My first memory of Backstreet Boys was when I first heard their song Anywhere For You in 1998. It was during the '98 chaos here in Indonesia. Me and my cousins are scared in my room, waiting for updates regarding my grandmother who will be "refugee - ing" to our house. So we turned on the Backstreet Boys VCD (I can't remember where I got it from), to calm down our nerves while waiting for our grandma to arrive safely. And that's how it all began, my love for the boys, especially Nick Carter. That time, I already have their 1st Album Cassette (Backstreet Boys), so to keep us calm, we played it non-stop in my walkman, during our journey from my house to the Airport Hotel, so we are not scared of the chaos along the way.

Since then, I always buy their newest album, the me and my bestfriend would race who can memorize the whole album faster than the other. And until today, I still remember every single word from their song from the 1st album until now, their latest album In a World Like This.

Thank you Backstreet Boys for keeping me calm during the chaos and finally made my teenage dream of meeting you guys came true during your concert in Singapore 3days ago, much love from Indonesia. <3 And I hope to see you guys again soon.

  6. My first memory of backstreet boys was when we were in the car with my parents and backstreet boys came on the radio and I knew I was hooked from that moment on but with six brothers and sisters my parents couldn’t afford for me to ever see them live until I got older and brought my daughter at 3 years old to her first show and my first show and when all the girls were screaming and she started screaming my daughter just thought it went with the show she had no idea Why she was screaming that was my favourite memory

  7. My first memory of the boys was when i had their album on 1996 as a present for passing my exams with flying colours. I played their song in my Discman and listened to it all day and i was only 6yrs old when i love Brian and Kevin so much. I wrote down the lyrics of my favourite song; We've Got It Goin' On on my diary and memories every single line of it. And i still have that album till today and i'm 27yrs old as of this year. Basically i grew up with their songs in the 90s! Thank you for stopping by at the only asia country, Singapore on 21/10/17. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AT THE CONCERT!!!! SO MUCH LOVE FOR ALL OF YOU FROM SINGAPORE!!!

  8. My first memory of the boys was the black and blue world tour. I can remember going on the RTD bus to get to the concert at the Pepsi center here In Denver Colorado. I went with my grandma. So this memory is very special to me because she is no longer living. I remember them going on what looked like a bridge over the crowd and of course every single person was singing and jumping and trying to get to the boys. I was so far away at that concert so I don't think I took many pictures. I know on the bus we met another BSB fan who was closer and we exchanged addresses and she sent me some photos which I'm sure I still hsve somewhere. I can remember my grandma loving A.J. lol. I will never ever forget going with her to see the boys. This was my first experience seeing them in concert and still going strong for 21 years!

  9. My first memory of the Backstreet Boys is when I started high school. I was nervously starting grade 7 and was assigned to sit in a group of 4 with 2 girls that I didn’t know yet. We were introducing ourselves and telling each other our likes and dislikes. Then the topic of the Backstreet Boys was brought up. I had heard a couple of songs on the radio that summer and knew about them and really liked their sound. I was excited to learn that the new friends I just made were fans of them as well and was happy to have something in common (one of them later became my sister-in-law). Later that year I received the first audio cassette for Christmas in 1996 from my parents and drove my family crazy because I was listening to it over and over again. So thanks to the Backstreet Boys for helping establish friendships and relationships that last a lifetime!

  10. my first memory of the backstreet boys would be walking past their BSB: All Access Pass vhs in Family Video back in the early 90s. my dad let me choose one video for myself and i was about to leave with a Mary Kate & Ashley special but suddenly this video on the bottom shelf near the snacks caught my eye. I reach down and saw Backstreet Boys across the cover and for some reason i was intrigued. I managed to negotiate a two for one deal and ended up leaving with both movies! when i got home i immediately popped BSB’s movie in the vcr, and i was captivated by these humbled and handsome men...well young men. growing up i appreciated most musical genres however often times i would be made fun of my love for pop music. i remember being told, “black people don’t like pop,” “this music isn’t for us” or the most frequently heard “you like them but they don’t like you-they don’t know you!” all of that went out the window when I saw this beautiful black women sitting at the head of the casting table across from BSB...this woman of power, grace, and beauty was appreciated and adored by this pop group - a white, young boy band! instantaneously, i felt as if my feelings were vindicated! i felt as if they, and all artists alike, knew i existed and they welcomed my admiration and appreciation. in this very moment, i allowed myself to escape my fears of judgment and self doubt, i allowed myself to be proud of preferences and welcomed BSB into my life with open arms! i watched that movie several times before i got caught and sent to bed, but the next morning i asked for their CD and the rest was boy band obsessed history.

for those that don’t know, i’m planning my first vacation-plane ride and everything-to see BSB in concert (finally) for my 30th birthday on November 10th. initially i planned on getting a M&G ticket so that i can share that very story with them (and get birthday kisses as well), however my budget isn’t very accommodating. yet, i would love to be able to win Solider of the Month during my birthday month...especially if it means that BSB would possibly read this very message. good luck to all that entered...#KTBSBPA #DoniMeetsBSB #SoliderStandingTall
